I no longer live in Garson - for now I live in limbo.  I hope to be living back in Winnipeg soon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For lack of a good topic and being too lazy to get pictures of the multitude of knitting projects that I have finished since I have last updated The Blog, I have included one of those "insert your name here" things that I don't usually do. The drape of this yarn was quite different that what was used in the pattern I loosely based it after.  A circus elephant could have fit it, still having enough room for his trunk.  I swear the damn thing was HUGE! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After patiently ripping out half the cast off last night, I had a breakdown at midnight and threw the whole bloody thing in the trash.  I am still not done with it though - I will pick up some new yarn today...  THAT yarn had bad chi. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a brighter note, today is my last day working at the University!  My department is taking me out for lunch...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, I threw in some guesses for naming some of &lt;a href="http://cosymakes.wordpress.com/" target="_blank"&gt;cosymakes&lt;/a&gt; new handspun the other day and she picked one of &lt;a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/cosymakes/2670896275/in/photostream/" target="_blank"&gt;mine&lt;/a&gt;!  Woot!  I get 10% off - I think I am going to order her &lt;a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12718564" target="_blank"&gt;book&lt;/a&gt;. Wolly Bullies join in in chorus and sympathize for sock woe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;06/25/08&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Embarrased to be bringing "same old sock" to SnB tonight. I brought my cousin Kathryn whom we taught how to knit and was well on her way to a dish cloth by the time we left.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_ryNpudZLH3U/SFZ9FqJ78BI/AAAAAAAAABA/bmW9sXPGRFw/s1600-h/P1010724.JPG"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_ryNpudZLH3U/SFZ9FqJ78BI/AAAAAAAAABA/bmW9sXPGRFw/s320/P1010724.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212491154896711698" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got some grey sock yarn in the yarn swap and won five skeins of a very strange colored alpaca wool in the prize draw…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Everyone brought food for the potluck lunch and my pails of margueritas were a big hit!
